LastStraw – Exhibition and Acoustic Live

Exhibition curated by Leonardo Maltese and acoustic live performance by Angelo Sulserio

LastStraw It combines graphics and music to explore contemporary themes through posters and playlists, involving artists and authors from across Italy. It's a project conceived and curated by the Sicilian graphic designer. Leonardo Maltese: every year a new theme becomes the starting point to tell intimate and universal themes, through a open call Aimed at designers, visual artists, and creatives. This year's keyword: break every limit, an invitation to overcome barriers, to free yourself from internal blocks and give voice to your vision.

Friday September 26st starting from 19.30 pm We look forward to seeing you at Abadir for the exhibition of 40 selected posters, a series of posters that tell of gestures of rebellion, liberation, and creation; and for the live performance of the singer-songwriter angelosulserio with original and unpublished songs, and for the presentation of the Issue #03 of Last Straw, the independent editorial project that collects and promotes the contributions of each edition.

To enrich the evening there will also be three signature drink signed Circus.

LEONARDO MALTESE

Leonardo Maltese (Ragusa, 1996) is a visual designer who has found in graphic design and visual communication the tools to convey everyday emotions and inspirations. His research moves between paper and digital, where forms and symbols become traces of shared memories and experiences.

LastStraw is a direct manifestation of this approach: a project that intertwines music and design to transform each song into a small fragment of life. A collective and ever-evolving journey, built with simplicity and curiosity, that seeks new connections between people through images and sounds.

ANGELOSULSERIO

Angelo Sciuto was born in Catania in 1995 and grew up partly here and partly in Milan where he lost himself in philosophical studies and deepened his knowledge of the essential art of mise en placeThe music takes over the second, third, fourth, and fifth floors, creating a rather impressive palace of priorities and duties where an inordinate amount of passions and drawers full of dreams coexist—at least 7 on each floor, for a total of 35 drawers and an “y” amount of passions.

Today he's proud to teach, naturally on a temporary basis, in an elementary school where he's discovered one of the most beautiful jobs one can do to make ends meet: "storyteller." Not even a published album, no dematerialized testimonies here and there, just a small pile of songs to tell his story when the context allows and 35 drawers with "x" dreams inside. 35 (×-1) since he realized that of teaching reading and writing to 6-year-old children.
