Born in Ragusa in 1993, after graduating in Interior Design from the Politecnico di Milano, he worked for several years with a number of renowned design studios in the city. In 2017, he founded his own studio, which addresses the domestic challenges of contemporary living through adaptable and reproducible products that meet the practical needs of everyday life. The studio collaborates with universities, academies, institutions, companies, galleries and private clients.

Vincenzo Castellana works on projects in architecture, design and communication. He is Director of the Master’s programme in Strategic Design and Creative Direction at Abadir, an adjunct lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano, and has previously taught on the Master’s programme in Design Management at IULM. He received a Compasso d’Oro / Honourable Mention in the Corporate Research category. In 2008, he founded ADI Sicilia alongside Vanni Pasca, with whom he would go on to spend nearly two decades promoting the productive and educational values of design.

He was born in Montescaglioso (MT), where he has lived and worked as a graphic designer since 1986. He graduated from the set design course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. He collaborated with Mario Cresci in Matera. From 1999 to 2006, he served as a councillor for Aiap. He is a lecturer at ISIA in Urbino. Since 2017, he has been a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale).

StudioGUM is an architecture and interior design practice based in Ragusa, founded in 2009 by architects Valentina Giampiccolo and Giuseppe Minaldi. In their work, they lay bare the essence of places through an archaeological process of subtraction, establishing ever-new rules and contemporary dialogues. StudioGUM’s projects have been featured in leading Italian and international publications, such as Interni magazine, Elle Décor, Vogue and AD.

Paolo Casicci is a journalist, content curator and lecturer in design. After working for fifteen years at the daily newspaper *La Repubblica*, in 2019 he founded the communications agencies *The Design Cut* and *DigiTale We Share Design*, through which he creates editorial content for some of the leading Italian and international design brands. Through the web magazine Cieloterradesign, founded in 2015, he explores and promotes design culture. He writes for specialist magazines and teaches at Rome’s leading design universities and academies. A member of the ADI Lazio executive committee, he believes in communication not merely as dissemination, but as a form of design in its own right, aimed at constructing new meaning.

Architect and PhD in design, founder and creative director of Studio Forward, an architecture, design and communication studio established in 2005. Adjunct lecturer in design since 2008 at the University of Palermo and lecturer at SOU Milan. He was selected for the ADI Design Index and nominated for the Compasso d’Oro in 2017. He is a member of SID, ADI and InArch.
In 2022, he founded Forward Edizioni, an independent publishing house specialising in the visual arts and design culture, whose publications have received international awards and accolades.

A graduate in Industrial Design from the University of Palermo and in Information Design from the Design Academy Eindhoven, following her time in the Netherlands she returned to Sicily in 2019 and became Art Director of Studio Forward, of which she is now a partner. An avid researcher before being a designer, books are her passion, which is why since 2023 she has been art director of Forward Edizioni (a Studio Forward side project) and Topic Edizioni.

He studied Architecture in Florence and Vienna. At the Department of Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture at the Technische Universität, he was a research assistant for several projects and coordinated various workshops. A keen designer in the residential and contract sectors.

After completing his degree and undertaking a tutorial for the MFA Master’s programme at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts, he joined the Miralles Tagliabue EMBT practice from 1996 to 2016, where he worked on major projects for the city of Barcelona and on the international stage. Since 2006, he has collaborated with the architect Toyo Ito, with whom he has developed projects in Europe and South America.

Massimo Siragusa is a photographer and Editorial Director at Phaos Edizioni. His photographs feature in the permanent collections of the Vatican Museums, the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, the Mart in Rovereto and the Museum of Rome in Trastevere. He has collaborated with numerous public institutions and private foundations on publishing and exhibition projects and, through his corporate work, has captured the identity of many of Italy’s most prestigious companies. He is the author of twelve books and the winner of four World Press Photo Awards and three Sony Awards. He divides his time between Rome and Catania.

Giacomo Boffo is a designer based in Bologna, specialising in digital, editorial and branding design for the culture, art and design sectors. He has collaborated with, amongst others, the studios Folch and Apartamento (Barcelona) and Blanco (Reggio Emilia). He teaches at the IED (Milan), the Quasar Institute (Rome) and the Abadir Academy (Catania), where he also serves as Co-ordinator for the Level I Master’s in Visual Communication and Art Direction, as well as teaching Brand Design.

Communication & Marketing Manager, for twenty years she has navigated within (and outside) the broad perimeter of communication: print newspapers, radio, blogs, communities and social media, online advertising, content marketing, strategy, training and public speaking. Always without a precise map, but with a firm compass: doing to understand rather than understanding to do.

An independent researcher in architecture, society and art, with a PhD in Architecture and Urban Phenomenology from UniBas, he is a co-founder of the Studio++ artists’ collective and coordinates the independent research group Architecture of Shame. He taught at the University of Florence and was a fellow on the programme Art, Culture and Technology from MIT in Boston (USA). She co-curated the exhibitions From 1:100. Gender equality in your life for Farm Cultural Park in Favara (AG) and Basilicata  in New York, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Turin. He writes scientific articles and essays on the relationships between plants, space, society and art. For Letteraventidue he has published: Atlas of Shame. A collective psychoanalytic session for European architecture (2020) e Pop Housing. New imagery for social housing (2022).
