General informations
The literal translation of "design" is "project." Design concerns both the product itself, from the initial idea to the development and production phases, as well as the communication of the product itself and the activities that give it added value on the market. Abadir's courses are multidisciplinary and provide the fundamental foundation for working in the fields of graphics, design, social media, and digital environments, and for acquiring essential skills for the contemporary workplace.
All instructors are professionals in their fields. The approach is both theoretical and practical, enriched by workshops created in collaboration with brands and companies, as well as extracurricular activities such as seminars, talks, and meetings led by leading figures in design, communications, entrepreneurship, contemporary art, and the world of culture.
Qualifications
At the end of the three-year course, you will obtain the Level I Academic Diploma DAPL06 in Artistic Design for Business, legally recognized by the MUR – Ministry of University and Research, equivalent to a Level I University Degree, which guarantees you access to Level I Masters and Specialist Degree courses in Italy and Europe.
Internship
At Abadir, we promote the intersection of education and the world of work through ongoing collaboration with local, national, and international companies.
The educational path includes a mandatory 100-hour training internship (4 CFA) that allows you to put into practice the theoretical teachings and skills acquired over the three-year period.

Scholarships
To promote the right to education, we offer a series of financial incentives. Scholarships provided by Abadir they cannot be combined with each other, while they are compatible with contributions provided by other bodies.
Digital challenge
A merit-based scholarship that allows you to receive a 25% to 50% reduction in tuition. To participate, create your self-portrait and tell us about yourself in a creative way: your story, your interests, your way of looking at the world.
You can interpret the challenge literally or unconventionally, using whatever technique you prefer. You don't need to know how to draw or have a professional camera: you can create a collage, even combining different materials; shoot a video looking at yourself or your surroundings; build an archive of objects or a map of places that represent you.

Training is a constantly evolving process:
If you've started a course of study and want to change direction, or if you already have a degree or academic diploma, you get a 25% reduction in tuition.
You will also be awarded credits for exams already taken, based on the compatibility between the course you previously attended and our study plans.

Design Challenge
If you are between 18 and 25 years old, reside in Italy, have not yet earned a degree, and meet the other requirements listed in the announcement, you can apply for one of the merit-based scholarships awarded through a competitive design challenge. The design challenge will allow you to test your creativity and demonstrate your potential as a designer.
ERSU
The Regional Agency for the Right to University Education can also grant partial or full exemptions from tuition and enrollment fees. For information on available financial aid and selection criteria, please visit the Catania ERSU website.
ERSU scholarships can be combined with all the benefits provided by Abadir.
IRFIS Incentives
The Sicilian Region's Department of Education and Professional Training offers funding for enrollment in universities and academies based in Sicily. The funding is based on the student's ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator), renewable based on merit for subsequent years, and granted without the need for financial guarantees.

Job exchange
An opportunity offered to students who actively contribute to Abadir's activities.
The duties covered by the scholarship may include: creating graphic or photographic materials; supporting the organization and staging of events, open days, and exhibitions; mentoring within educational workshops and PCTO; welcoming and providing technical and logistical support to teachers; and other forms of collaboration that will allow you to develop your organizational and teamwork skills while also receiving a tuition reduction.
Admission and enrollment procedures
To enroll in our three-year courses, follow these steps:
Informational interview
Book a meeting with our Orientation Team: you can learn more about the study plans, career opportunities, services offered by the Academy, and available financial aid.
Online application
Complete the online application form and attach a cover letter describing why you would like to undertake one of Abadir's educational programs. You can also attach a portfolio (optional).
Motivational interview
We will contact you again to arrange the date and It's time for the motivational interview, a chat to discuss your passions and future ambitions. Admission to Abadir doesn't require design skills: we evaluate your aptitude and potential.
Registration and enrollment

FAQ?
Abadir is a private academy authorized by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) to award Advanced Training in Art, Music, and Dance (AFAM) degrees. The Academic Diploma you earn at the end of your three-year program is fully equivalent to a three-year university degree (Article 11 of Presidential Decree 8.7.2005, No. 212). Yes. A margin of absence equal to 20% of the total class hours for each subject is permitted. After this limit, admission to the exam is at the instructor's discretion.
Both on-site lectures and workshops are offered, as well as online teaching. Teaching is both theoretical and practical and may include individual or group lab work, using computer software or hands-on exercises. Online lessons are streamed and allow students to interact with the instructor and the class through the digital tools provided by Abadir. Classes are held Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM (though not every day is a full-time commitment), from late October to late January and from early March to late June.
There is no entrance exam, but you must take a motivational interview and submit a cover letter. This process helps us understand and evaluate your motivations for choosing one of Abadir's educational programs.
All those compatible with our study plans can be validated, and you can also benefit from the Restart Scholarship. You will need to provide a transcript of exams taken and the relevant course syllabus.
