At Abadir you have the opportunity to study under the guidance of lecturers from all over the world. The teaching staff is entirely made up of experienced professionals in their respective fields, who guarantee an approach to the various disciplines that is closely interconnected with the dynamics of the contemporary world of work.
The limited-enrolment access allows them to closely monitor your educational path and progress, working in a targeted way to help you express your potential to the full.
Academic Year 2025–2026

MAKOTO FUKUDA
After graduating and tutoring for the MFA Master's degree at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts, from 1996 to 2016 he joined the Miralles Tagliabue EMBT studio, with which he worked on major projects for the city of Barcelona and on the international scene. Since 2006 he has collaborated with architect Toyo Ito, with whom he has developed projects in Europe and South America.

DIEGO EMANUELE
Architect and PhD in design, founder and creative director of Studio Forward, an architecture, design and communication studio established in 2005. Adjunct lecturer in design since 2008 at the University of Palermo and lecturer at SOU Milan. He was selected for the ADI Design Index and nominated for the Compasso d’Oro in 2017. He is a member of SID, ADI and InArch.
In 2022, he founded Forward Edizioni, an independent publishing house specialising in the visual arts and design culture, whose publications have received international awards and accolades.

GIULIA COLLETTI
Giulia Colletti is digital content curator and consultant for collateral activities at the Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea. From 2018 to 2021 she was a member of the curatorial board of the 19th Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs d’Europe et de la Méditerranée. In 2019 she was a Visiting Lecturer at The Glasgow School of Art. She has lectured at numerous institutions and universities including Kingston University, London; Columbia University (CAMS), New York; La Sapienza, Rome; IUAV, Venice; NABA, Milan. At ABADIR she is a lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Art History in the Bachelor's degree courses and in Curation and the Mediterranean in the First Level Master's degree Mater Matuta. Her texts have appeared in publications including CURA, Flash Art, and OnCurating.

VINCENZO CASTELLANA
Vincenzo Castellana works on projects in architecture, design and communication. He is Director of the Master’s programme in Strategic Design and Creative Direction at Abadir, an adjunct lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano, and has previously taught on the Master’s programme in Design Management at IULM. He received a Compasso d’Oro / Honourable Mention in the Corporate Research category. In 2008, he founded ADI Sicilia alongside Vanni Pasca, with whom he would go on to spend nearly two decades promoting the productive and educational values of design.

GIUSEPPE AREZZI
Born in Ragusa in 1993, after graduating in Interior Design from the Politecnico di Milano he collaborated for several years with some of the city's renowned design studios. In 2017 he founded his own studio, which addresses the domestic challenges of contemporary living through adaptable and replicable products that respond to the practical needs of everyday life. MAURO MAUGERI
Mauro Maugeri is a director of commercials and documentaries. In his work, he handles all aspects of production, particularly writing, directing and cinematography. Since 2005, he has been an active member of the Scarti Cultural Association, which has been involved in the production and promotion of short films for years. He won a special mention in the I LOVE GAI section at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival. Over the years, he has collaborated with Rai, Mediaset, the Vodafone Italia Foundation, and Eni-Snam.

STUDIO GUM
StudioGUM is an architecture and interior design practice based in Ragusa, founded in 2009 by architects Valentina Giampiccolo and Giuseppe Minaldi. In their work, they lay bare the essence of places through an archaeological process of subtraction, establishing ever-new rules and contemporary dialogues. StudioGUM’s projects have been featured in leading Italian and international publications, such as Interni magazine, Elle Décor, Vogue and AD.

ENRICO GISANA
Graphic and motion designer and co-founder of GG―OFFICE with a strong focus on typography. After studying at IED in Milan and collaborating with various organisations, including ZERO and Cromazoo, he decided to return to Sicily. In 2019 and 2022, some of his animation work was selected for Demo Festival, an event organised by Studio Dumbar that brings together designers from all over the world in Amsterdam.

Every year we invite figures of local, national and international renown to the Academy to share experiences and expertise through lectures open to the public and/or design workshops reserved exclusively for students.

Studio Dumbar
Studio Dumbar/DEPT® is an international creative agency based in Rotterdam, specialising in visual identity, motion design, creative coding and sound design. It collaborates with major companies, such as Dutch Railways and the Utah Jazz, as well as cultural institutions, non-profit organisations and smaller businesses.
In 2019, the studio created DEMO, the world's largest motion design festival, which takes place annually in Amsterdam.

Studio MUT
Studio Mut is a design studio based in Bolzano, founded by Thomas Kronbichler and Martin Kerschbaumer. It works on graphic design projects, visual identity systems, digital products, exhibitions and installations, combining contemporary aesthetics with local culture and identity. Thomas and Martin have collaborated with various companies, cultural institutions and non-profit organisations. Communication Arts magazine has described their design as “rebellious”, and AIGA Magazine dubbed them “poster kings”.

Studio Obelo
Founded in Milan in 2014 by Claude Marzotto and Maia Sambonet, it operates in the fields of editorial design, cultural communication and education. The studio's clients include: 10CorsoComo, Assab One, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Elpis, Gufram, Maat Museum Lisbon, Humboldt Books, marinonibooks, PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, Triennale Milano.

WANDERLUST VISION
Wanderlust Vision is a Milan-based creative agency that explores the crossovers between fashion, food, design, music, art and tourism with an aesthetic approach to contemporaneity, through experiences, event curation, branding operations and audiovisual content production.

Silvio Lorusso
Silvio Lorusso is an Italian writer, artist, designer and researcher based in Rotterdam.
Author of the book *Entreprecariat* (Krisis Publishing, 2018), his work focuses on the cultures and rhetorical regimes of techno-social systems and on the tensions surrounding the concepts of work, productivity, autonomy, self-design, entrepreneurship, precariousness and failure.

Quim Marin
An art director and designer born in 1979, he began his professional career in 1998 and, in 2013, founded his own studio in Barcelona, determined to create his own visual universe and establish his style on the global stage. Quim has worked for brands such as Apple, Google, Adobe, FIAT, Adidas and Oppo. He has given talks and workshops in Chile, Mexico, Spain and Russia. His posters are on display at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Jacopo Pompilii
He is UX Design Lead at PagoPA S.p.A., the public company that designs and manages key Italian digital infrastructures, with the aim of making public services increasingly user-friendly and close to people's needs. He is responsible for the user experience of the pagoPA platform, used by over 43.5 million people and businesses, and of IO, the public services app awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2022 and used by an average of 5.3 million users per month.
A graduate of the Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on cashless societies, he has worked for Frog, a global design and consultancy firm, collaborating with multinationals such as Porsche, Huawei, Meta and Poste Italiane.

Morgane Vantorre
Morgane VanTorre is a French graphic and type designer based in Paris.
His interest in typography is primarily channelled into developing publishing projects and experimenting with typefaces and lettering. He also works in graphic design, art direction and web design, occasionally drawing inspiration from the world of art.
