At Abadir we attach great importance to internationalization processes. Our mission is to promote the culture of the project as a tool for change and, from this perspective, We believe it is crucial to promote dialogue with different cultural horizons.
Our Academy organizes and participates in numerous international activities, such as workshops, conferences and seminars, transdisciplinary research projects, cooperation projects between European and non-European countries and, more generally, activities through which to be able to exchange best practices, fuel research and improve the quality of training.
Foundation Year
A one-year course in partnership with Syracuse Academy, dedicated to international students who wish to learn Italian and pursue university studies in the field of design in Italy.
Erasmus Plus Program
Since 2017, Abadir has participated in the Erasmus+ program, which offers opportunities for mobility in European Union countries (and beyond) for study, internships, teaching, or training, enriching and enhancing the experience of each participant. The program is aimed not only at students but also at faculty and staff.

Erasmus Staff Mobility
This mobility is aimed at teachers and staff members and allows them to undertake short periods of mobility for teaching or training purposes.
Erasmus Short Term Mobility
La Short Mobility It is a hybrid, intensive, short-term mobility, lasting between 5 and 30 days, which integrates an in-person part and a virtual component, in which groups of students, teachers and staff members can take part.

Erasmus Incoming Students
Through the Erasmus Plus Program you can spend a semester studying in Abadir.
The official language of our courses is Italian. We don't require formal language certification, but to best participate in our courses, we recommend reaching at least a B1 level (or higher).
Here's everything you need to know to apply and prepare for your mobility.
Appointment
The International Office of a partner institution wishing to nominate a student for an Erasmus mobility period at Abadir must send an email to internazionale@abadir.net with the following information:
- Name of the home university and Erasmus code
- Name and surname of the candidate
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Email address
- Exchange period (first semester or second semester)
- Subject area / Degree course attended at the institution of origin
Application
After nomination by your International Office, you will need to send an email to international@abadir.net with the following documents:
- Application form ↓
- Portfolio
- Curriculum Vitae
- Cover letter
- Provisional Digital Learning Agreement (DLA) for Studies
- Copy of a valid identity document
- Copy of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or private health insurance
Deadline
The nomination must be received by:
- May 31st if you wish to undertake mobility in the First Semester of the following Academic Year
- October 31st if you wish to undertake mobility in the Second Semester of the following Academic Year
The application must be received by:
- June 15th for mobility in the First Semester
- November 15th for mobility in the Second Semester
