The master

The first level Master's degree in Photography and Editorial Design It focuses on the use of photography to narrate, analyze, and enhance the territory in all its components: cultural, environmental, social, and landscape, for the creation of innovative photographic campaigns and editorial projects capable of supporting visual and scientific research on cultural heritage.

Didactic method

The master has an approach interdisciplinary and itinerant, with modules that alternate teaching and moments of field research, through short workshops and intensive camps that take place between Sicily and Bologna, Reggio Emilia and Milan. Along with photographic practice, the master's program combines anthropology, urban planning, editorial and exhibition design, and data and archive management.

Who is it for?

This is an ideal program for photographers with an interest in visual research applied to cultural heritage and landscape, and for those with a background in design or art and communication. You can also apply for the master's program without a bachelor's degree or first-level academic diploma, subject to evaluation of your application. 

An adequate level of knowledge of Adobe software (Indesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with photographic shooting and post-production techniques is recommended.

The Master's program aims to train highly qualified professionals in the field of documentary photography, providing specific skills in representing and enhancing cultural and territorial heritage through editorial design, exhibition planning, and the use of multimedia platforms.

The program includes a curricular internship you can complete at one of Abadir Academy's partner institutions or at a company of your choice. The master's degree also allows you to complete a traineeship in Europe. ongoing o post graduate – funded by the Erasmus Programme.

Photography

Photography, Photography for Cultural Heritage, Direction of Photography, Methodologies for Archiving and Preserving Digital Art. Photographic Documentation, History of Photography.

TERRITORIAL AND PROJECT DISCIPLINES

Planning of urban and territorial interventions, Cultural anthropology, Analysis of the territory and landscape design, Enhancement of architectural and landscape assets, Design for publishing.
