NIMI Travel Exhibition

NIMI Travel Exhibition

The traveling exhibition NIMI – The New Intelligence of Made in Italy stops in Catania: from ceramics to textiles to food, tradition meets the future in the showcase of projects developed at Abadir as part of the three-year courses, the first-level master's degree in Visual Communication and Art Direction, and in the Temporary Fablabs organized in collaboration with local high schools and higher education institutes.

NIMI
Travel Exhibition opens on Friday 8 May 2026 at 18.30 pm at Abadir DELIDA – Design Library and Digital Archive (map →).

During the opening, the catalogue edited by Simona Spadoni will be presented, a volume that brings together the works conceived and prototyped by students, the result of research that explored the ceramics, textile and food sectors, reinterpreted as so many "clusters" of intelligence: manual, artificial and socialThree dimensions that, intertwined, outline new perspectives for the evolution of contemporary Italian production.

The exhibition presents this design journey as a collective narrative: projects, prototypes, and visions that interpret Made in Italy not as a static legacy, but as a living and evolving system. An invitation to rethink the role of design and visual communication in building new forms of intelligence, capable of connecting tradition and innovation.

The exhibition will remain open until May 15th.
Free entry.
