Communicating culture: identity, audiences and communication strategies

Communicating culture: identity, audiences and communication strategies

Communicating culture: identity, audiences and communication strategies it's a talk with Emilio Leo, creative director of Lanificio Leo, the oldest textile factory in Calabria, dedicated to the communication of cultural projects.

An opportunity to explore methodologies for identifying target audiences and the principles underlying the development of a coherent and sustainable communication strategy, with a focus on the fundamental concepts of identity, mission and positioning, presentation tools (pitch, dossier, promotional materials) and the ways in which a cultural organisation can effectively communicate its social and cultural impact.

The event is curated by Abadir and is part of the second cycle of Coalizioni Isola. Laboratories of Culture, Creativity and Art, an entrepreneurial education programme aimed at those who want to build a professional future in cultural organisations. The programme alternates practical workshops, where participants work directly on their own ideas, with four thematic masterclasses open to the community, each dedicated to a fundamental area: the legal framework, economic and financial management, communication and fundraising. The masterclasses are open to the public and can be attended individually, serving as opportunities for discussion and training for anyone working or wishing to work in the world of culture. The project stems from a collaboration between Isola Catania, the University of Catania, Abadir, Associazione Musicale Etnea, Officine Culturali and viaraffineria, supported by Laboratorio di Creatività Contemporanea, promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.
